FS: Klipsch X10 headphones new - Page 3

post #31 of 94

Just my small contribution here. jeeze, scamming means ripping people of money. He is selling a product at a price and someone is buying it.

Now if the product has a defect, that in my opinion is a scam.

but the buyer has got the product, which i guess is perfectly working (not heard any complaint about the headphone not working?). As far as "sealed from klipsch" comment is concerned is he going to be hanged for it? you anyway are going to use it by ripping the packaging or do you intend to keep it as a showcase with packaging intact? last sentence is on a lighter note....

People will not believe him in the future, it hurts him more than it hurts us, and for a way longer time.

He really needs to just come clean & say "I made a mistake, no excuses"

otherwise he lost the trust

@system123

actually, scam has nothing to do with money. Anything that is fraudulent in nature can be considered scam, whether money is a motive or not.

In simplest terms, the seller said the product was in original klipsch package. The buyer received it in a different package, definitely not standard klipsch. Whether the misrepresentation was intentional (maybe for a quick sell) or unintentional (careless explanation) on the buyer's part, the fact is that the seller was misrepresented.

Maybe the buyer wanted to listen to the x10 with 0 hours on them from the very beginning. But now, how can he know for sure that the earphones he received has no hours in them. Can you tell the difference between a brand new earphone with one that has 10 hour burn-in? 20?

This wouldn't have exploded so much if the buyer just admitted he made a mistake, instead of lashing out.

Wikipedia to the rescue!

"False advertising or deceptive advertising is the use of false or misleading statements in advertising. As advertising has the potential to persuade people into commercial transactions that they might otherwise avoid, many governments around the world use regulations to control false, deceptive or misleading advertising. Truth in labeling refers to essentially the same concept, that customers have the right to know what they are buying, and that all necessary information should be on the label."

So let's say you ordered a laptop from Best Buy that's advertised as brand new. When you receive it, it turns out to be a factory refurb without original packaging, manuals and what not. It's just the laptop, not even the power cord. Would you be upset? After all, it works and they are selling the product at a price, and you bought it.

As for OP, you really can't defend yourself by saying something like "what did you expect for such a good price". They expected what you advertised and the price may only seem like a great deal to you (there have been x10's on here in great condition with original packaging and accessories for a very similar price). Should have just stopped after you apologized.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.  I will lower the price to 160 shipped via UPS (insurance and tracking #) and paypal anywhere in the USA.  I will take photos of them,  I will open the box and link the photos so you folks can see the condition is of these X10 Headphones,  the ziploc bag was not a ziploc from me, thats what Klipsch sends man.  So don't peg that on me.  Why? waste a good glad bag, when Klipsch includes their own.

I cannot believe the, finger pointing, bashing negativity on this thread.  Damn offer a good score and it all goes to hell once one guy (who never told me,via IM or PM or email, that he was unhappy, we soooooo could have worked something out, like a refund. But choose to bash instead openly, making both himself and me, look really stupid.  Good job man.

Anyway these are great, and I have had great luck on here so why ruin that good karma?  I wouldn't want to get something that sucked, as for original boxes, thats pretty anal, but everyone is different, who knows maybe if you have the box it sounds better?
