FS Phenix G3-T7 OTL, Earmax Clone (AS NEW)

This has been traded for something from another head-fi member and is no longer available.

I've decided to go down the DIY road and wish to sell this on to someone as I know I just won't be using it anymore. (selling because I ordered a Bottlehead Crack)

It's the Phenix G3-T7 110 volt version.  It's like new, only just broken in.  I've had it about a week, delivered brand new direct from China.  Can't be more than 100 hours on it.

Search on head-fi for a relevant thread discussing this little beauty (and its 3x6DJ8 kin).

It's an OTL design based upon an Earmax.  It uses a single 12AT7 and two 6DJ8's.

I'll include the pair of premium matched early 60's Amperex NY Bugleboy white label PQ 6922's I specifically bought for this amp from a very trusted seller and a JJ 12AT7 (which sounds surprisingly good actually) that came almost new from another amp I bought.  The labels on the Amperex tubes are worn, but the tubes are hella nice.  The JJ surprised me, I like it better than a premium Telefunken ECC801S or a Siemens Triple Mica ECC801S in this thing!

Edit: If you'd prefer a Mullard 12AT7WA/CV4024 instead of the JJ I will do that.  I bought three cyro-treated from Cyroset (@ almost $40 each) but they've never quite done it for me.

So the Phenix comes with the 2 Amperex and your choice of the JJ 12AT7 or Mullard 12AT7WA.

I will sell to you (a person in the continental USA) for $160 by paypal delivered in conus via UPS Ground.  (that is to say I cover the paypal fees and shipping charges)

I don't have feedback here, but plenty on eBay and a few transactions on audiogon.

(don't know if this link gets you to my audiogon feedback

Any questions just ask here please.

And now for the pics.....

bumped to point out the Amperex tubes alone would run you between $60-100 (or more) for a quality matched pair like this.

If you are interested in buying this for less without any tubes just send me a PM.
