FS: Aiwa HP-30 1977 Retro Style headphones

For sale is an Aiwa HP-30 headphone circa 1977'-1980'.

They have a cool brown and champagne retro styling to them. Someone else on this forum uses a pair of these as DJ headphones.

To me the sound is very much on the warm side. I use it with a little treble boost. It's a 70s sound. Very lovely quality headband too.

Condition is great for the age.

£SOLD

Paypal payment as a personal/gift so I dont pay fees please. If not then add 4% to make up paypal fees. Thanks :).

The obvious question, are they dynamics? The add describes the HP-500 driver like an isodynamic, but it doesn't mention that for the HP-30.

The HP-30 is a dynamic...but shares the gorgeous look of the HP-500

Yup curiosly the driver in this looks to be 38mm as well...the same size as an SFI heh. So it should be a direct drop into the driver placeholder. I don't have an SFI on hand though.

If you wanna try an even bigger driver like a HP-3 that would fit too but would need to cut the driver placeholder out.

Also yup this is a dynamic and completely closed back.

Ok I just took at look at the cup held it up to the light. It isnt entirely closed your right! Its nearly closed though. The vent is around that brown circle. But its possibly the smallest vent iv seen, the vent runs around the brown circle and is something like..less than a millimeter gap i think...

wouldnt be hard to close off fully if you wanted closed.
Good eye btw! I wouldnt have noticed myself unless you read that in the ad.

Ill reply to the pm soon

Ok, I am in class right now, so I may answer (if answer there should be) a bit late

Thanks!
