Mapletree Audio Design MAD Ear+Purist HD Headphone Amplifier. Special Edition of the Ear+ Purist HD100. 100th Anniversary Commemorative Headphone Amplifier. Only five amplifiers were made.
The headphone amplifier (110 V) is in very good cosmetic and working condition. The amplifier drives the headphones Sennheiser HD-650 and Grado RS-1 very well. The amplifier has the following properties:
- Two line inputs are provided (one RCA and one mini jack 1/8''), switched from the front panel source control.
- High and low impedance headphone outputs are provided. The low impedance output provides 6 dB attenuation with 32 Ohm headphones.
- Black Gate filter capacitors are used in the power supply.
- A cathode ray indicator tube (magic eye) with sensitivity adjustment control is provided.
- The amplifier use one 5751, two 12B4A and one magic eye tube.
- Use premium passive components (Auricap and Black Gate signal capacitors, Tantalum film plate load resistors, and ultra high speed HEXFRED rectifier diodes).
- Wide frequency response: 10 Hz - 20 kHz - 1 dB.
- A para-feed cathode-follower headphone output circuit capable of driving a wide range of headphones with impedances from 30 to 300 Ohms.

- One Ear+ Purist HD100 (110 V)
- Five ft PS Audio Prelude power cable.
- Thirty four 5751 vacuum tubes: Two Sylvania triple mica grey plate, three Sylvania triple mica black plate, nine GE five stars, two RCA Command, two RCA JAC-5751, two Tung-Sol, one Brimar, two Electro- Harmonix, three Raytheon, one Amperex, two Telefunken, and five Sovtek.
- Twenty 12B4A tubes.
- Two EM80 and five EM81 magic eye tubes.
- A IKEA box for storing vacuum tubes.
- Six Herbie's Audio Lab tube dampers.
