Bad record?? (vinyl)

Hi I bought a city of evil (avenged sevenfold) vinyl the other day, but when i went to play it  had a number of problems

The centre hole was off-centre and i had 2 file it to get it to centred.

the hole was a lil too small aswell

and I get distortion of the right channel at times (bad distortion for 1/4 second or so)

also sound quality sounds slightly distorted all the way through (very slightly)

My other records sound fine, just double checking this sounds like a badly pressed vinyl???

cheers

Small inconsistencies in the centre hole are a fact of life with smaller limited runs from indie labels I'm afraid. Always have been.

distortion could also be a VTA issue as 7" is thinner so would change the VTA, if your settings are borderline anyway this could throw it off. If you can adjust this try it, if not a thicker mat does the same thing. Ditto VTF.

Guess it depends how important it is to actually play this record...
