hi,

I'm keen to buy. Make that very keen, after hearing these on loan from a friend. Nice condition would be good. Here in Australia.

If there's anyone looking to sell Stax SR-X Mk 3 by itself, w/o adapter, I'm very interested. 

 

Otherwise, I'm still very keen about the SR-X Mk 3 and SRD-6 combo.

I have a similar SR-5NB and modified amp (one of the portable amps re-housed to use a wallwart and connect via RCA instead) if you're interested.  IIRC it uses the same drivers as the SR-X MK 3.  My FS thread is here.

Is the wallwart 110 or 240 volts power? - would need 240. I'm not familiar with SR-5 but am busily researching about it. Thanks for the reply.
