Anyone keeping their eyes on this series?

It's time for payback.

Celtics. I just dislike the Lakers.

I'll be rooting for the Lake show but think the C's will win it. Big picture wise, they play like a team, and the Lakers still strike me as a bit goofy. They do have home court this time and have added Artest, so by no means is my pick confident. Gasol is my x factor. He has said that he been lifting weights - what a concept! - and is ready for Boston's physical game this time. We'll see soon enough. With Bynum gimpy, again, Pal can look forward to the brunt of the Celtic's 18 fouls from Perkins, Baby, and Sheed.

I think the Lakers will win but I'm not sure who I'll cheer for... maybe the C's as Rondo is one of my favourite players.

I'm disappointed the Magic were beaten....

Celtics beat the horrible playing of the Cavs, so I'd rather they go all the way and win it. Then we won't look so bad.

The Cavs weren't at the top of their game, but the Celtics' defense has a way of making good teams look bad. At least when everyone is healthy. I'm from Boston so I'm definitely somewhat of a homer, but I don't see the Lakers being able to handle the Celtics if the Celtics continue to play the way they have, and if they are at full-strength. If they slip in either of those categories, it's anyone's game, and probably the Lakers'.

Kobe will run and gun all over the Boston line-up. Trust me on this ^_^. It might be tough, but i think we can do it !

I'm not a fan of either. I just want to see a good 7 game series.

(edit: go B-hawks)

Waves hand happily ...

Indeed, if it wasn't for Celtic injuries last year, that Championship too is ours ... (Said in a tone meant to stir it up here) lol

Greatly looking forward to the series, should be hyper competitive watching the improved beefy additions to the Lakers lineup (Artest / Bynum) against the Best beefy Defensive team from the ECF , ie can the Lakers win with Kobe shooting sub 40% as in '08 (?)...

May the better TEAM win it ! I think so ( if you get my meaning) !

Go Celtics ~

lol so many random go blackhawks comments. Rondo is on fire, and the feeling of revenge is always sweet.

Huge Celtic fan here. I am a pessimist when it comes to watching the Celtics. I have seen them blow huge leads this year during the regular season. On paper, celtics don't match too well with the Lakers...but they also didn't match up well on paper with the Cavs and Magic. However Celtics came up big with great defense in the Cavs and Magic series. I believe they are better defensively now than their 2008 championship run when they had Posey, Powe and PJ Brown.

I will always be pessimistic when it comes to watching the Celtics...I didn't think that they would win in 2008 and they did. I will continue my way of thinking ...

Btw here are 2 other reasons I am pessimistic sports fan...I am a Buffalo Bills fan (season ticket holder living in NYC ) and a NY Mets fan (would love to have season tickets but they are ridiculously expensive). I may be pessimistic but I won't leave the stadium until the game ends.

This thread won't be official until we receive an official floydenheimer break down. Don't worry pitchfork floyd. Lick your wounds man and get us one by Thursday. Otherwise I'll be deeply disappointed.

either way, i don't like the celtics. so.. go LA?

I think if Artest continues the way he is playing.... the celtics can't match up.

Oh really! He keeps laying those wonderful bricks behind 3 point line and Celtics can't match up!? He is good defender, but he won't stop Paul Pierce.
