FS: BeyerDynamic DT 990 2005 ed. 250 ohm US only for now

Asking price $165 shipped and paypaled. US only, for now.

The headphones are a little worn. Earpads and headband specifically. They work and sound perfectly though. Also, there are a few tiny scratches on the metal part that holds the right cup (hardly noticeable). The grills and cups are in perfect condition. I also have the leather case for it.

I have lost track of the amount of hours on it. I'm pretty sure they are fully burned in.

I have also contacted The Sound Surgeon Inc. who do maintenance and repairs for Beyerdynamic of North America and they said a new headband would only cost $8.04, if you REALLY wanted to replace it. I have had no problems with its comfort myself, so I never bothered to send it in.

I also found it if you wanted to upgrade to 600 ohm drivers it would only cost you $56 for them to upgrade your headphones for you.

Well, the best way I can explain it is that the pads have somewhat contoured to the shape of my head a bit I guess. If you've ever owned headphones with this kind of padding for a period of time, it's probably happened to you. It's a fairly common thing to happen to this kind of padding.

And yes, the pads are extremely easy to replace. You can buy new ones on the Beyerdynamic website and put them on yourself.
