Long time since last Toronto meet? - Page 2

It'd be cool to come to a meet to hear some different gear.

Could bring along a couple of Pimetas and some DACs (USB gamma1, grubDAC, pup1 - my other USB DAC).

I could bring Yamaha HP-1, Hifiman HE-5, and Sennheiser HD650. Will need proper amp for these.

Let me know when and where one might happen. I wasn't able to make the ones at Punkaroo's place given work and a lack of a means of transportation, but the heart is very willing!

Ok, how about a meet at BBR or Moog?

BBR = Bay Bloor Radio?

I don't know what a Moog is, however.

I third a meet at BBR.  Let them clean up the mess ;)

I'm planning on going to Bay Bloor Radio soon, the meet would be as good an excuse as any to come into the city.

I'm in for Bay Bloor Radio.

Another bonus, they have all the headphones they sell on demo for you to try out.

Bay-Bloor Radio - you can't be serious...that's a retail outlet, definitely NO place for a meet.

Count me out.

^^ I agree. Unless they have a listening room of some kind that separates us from other customers, it is undesirable to have meet there IMHO.

Yea, I went there once to demo headphones but it was too noisy to really test stuff. Also they couldn't find an amp for the hd800... so I tried it out of an iPod Nano.

Count me in for a Toronto meet....

It might be nice for it to be a little north of downtown so traffic

and parking are easier.

I would volunteer my place but I live way out in cottage country with

lots of property but only a small house...

Hi all, newbie here... Definitely interested in a meet. I'm just slowly starting to invest in more audio stuff... don't have much yet but I can bring my Grado and Denon headphones to share!

Is it important for it to be an audio store, or can it just be a convenient location with a quiet room?

Someone's house would probably be most convenient. I don't think we'd be able to find a retail store that would want to host us let alone be fitting for hanging out.
