SCAMMER ALERT- theluismeister-

On May 19 I responded to this thread: theluismeisterhttp://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/492975/fs-sennheiser-595-s-barely-used#post_6653118

By the 21st we came to an agreement on price and payment method. Up till that point communication was good and I felt comfortable with the transaction. I sent the payment the same day and was excited about getting the 595's.

It has been 8 days since I sent the payment and I have not heard a word from this person since.  I have attempted contact through both PM and personal Email (4 of each) to no avail.  At this point I am confident that I will not receive the 595's nor my money back.  I was duped!  I should have been more careful by learning more about the seller but this is a lesson learned for me.

I have already contacted the Mod's and Jude and they are looking into this persons account to ensure that he/she does not have more accounts to scam others.

Learn a lesson from me, be very careful who you deal with.  I would suggest that you get as much personal info from a seller to ensure you know who you are dealing with (ie. Phone number, address, email, etc.) Call them and talk to them in person.

CHECK FEEDBACK!  This is something that I obviously failed to do.

For many people the price of 595's may not be that big of a purchase.  But it is huge for me, especially with my budget being what it is.  I am now out of the money and going to end up paying twice the price for something...Lesson learned.

All that to say look out for this guy and be careful when making a purchase.

Well, he has only a few posts and all to sell things and joined this month.  Those are red flags to me.  Sorry for your loss, bummer.

Yea...I don't regularly buy off of forums.  This will teach me to be more careful.

Sorry for your loss. But always look to a bright side. You got scammed out of a relatively small amount of money. As a result, for the rest of your life you'll be much more careful when it comes to such matters, both on the forums and in general. So maybe in the long run it will even be a helpful experience. (If nothing else, hopefully positive thoughts will help ease the pain )
