Mulitple Moving Armature's based custom IEM?

With the release of the Ortofon EQ-7 and how it utilizes a new type of balanced armature speaker. It's only one speaker that can take on other high end universals packing multiple speakers in detail and take on high end universals packing dynamic drivers in bass response. I would like to see how the sound will turn out if a manufacturer released a custom IEM utilizing 6-8 of these new speakers in each ear to take on the JH13 Pro, JH16 Pro and UE18 Pro. For some reason, I think Westone is doing this....

It's a little off topic, but I heard that EarSonics EM3 Pro with only 3 armature drivers can easily take on the JH13 Pro and even surpass them in some ways. I think 6+ drivers is really an overkill. I think they make IEMs with this many drivers when the company doesn't want to take time to tune a configuration with less drivers to perfection. Perhaps even a single armature could sound as good or better than JH13 Pro if tuned sufficiently well (i.e. the new single BA driver IEM from Final Audio Design).

I didn't follow the 'home made iem' for the whole length, but it seems that the BA drivers can cover quite a wide range of frequencies quite well. http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/430688/home-made-iems

 

So the extra drivers could probably be providing the extra headroom when it's required. Perhaps JH audio doesn't want compromise (as in tuning and stuff), and they might have their own reasons for opting multiple drivers. Yet again, in some ways I am sure multiple drivers would also require a pretty complex crossover, and that part would take considerable tuning too.

I guessing you haven't heard the JH13 Pro.

Perhaps pianist have not, but the guy who started the above thread certainly has both JH13 and the EM3Pro.
