Everything now sold.

I haven't been active here for a while but now have some big bills to pay so am forced to sell the jewels of my collection :)

All my headphones are in top condition, I don’t smoke and only listen after showering/washing my hair.

First is my HD800, Serial Number 720. I think this was the first pair in Australia, via Singapore.

Probably had 100 hours total head time, absolutely mint condition headphones, cable and box and they still smell new.

No hinge or spring noise at all.

Outer box/packaging is not quite mint, very minor mark on one corner and a small tear along one side.

Comes with the manuals in 6 languages and box.

I can make a custom cable for the buyer if interested too, just email me.

Asking $1190 USD SOLD paypal'd, shipped and insured worldwide.

Next is my AKG K1000, formerly owned by Red Wine Audio.

Excellent condition, well looked after. Minor wear on the ear/temple pads. Grills are not dented or anything.

I recabled them with 4 strands of 22G Jena wire, just over 6 foot long. Terminated with nice banana plugs, but I can reterminate however suits you, longer length, different plug etc, just email me with any questions.

This is the pair that were so well loved at the Head-fi Sydney meet 2 years ago.

Asking $1090 USD SOLD paypal'd, shipped and insured worldwide.

3rd is my Denon D5000. This was the very first pair of Denons that were Markl modded and cabled with Jena wire. A lot of history with these, and I'll miss them.

When I first got them I had the earcups sprayed with a dozen thin coats of clear laquer so they would not get damaged or have the writing rub off. It's worked perfectly :)

I put a Beyerdynamic headband on to make them even more comfortable. With the modded earpads it's like wearing a fluffy pillow. The original headband, underneath the Beyer pad, is still mint.

I recabled them with a Furutech FP-704 1/4" plug  and 5.5 foot X 4 strands of 22G Jena wire, and I covered the whole thing in nice soft nylon sheath, largely to see if it can be done, and if it works well. It can and does :) Looks and feels very classy.

They probably have 400 - 500 hours on them. Sound is fantastic, my favorite closed headphones.

I took both hinges apart and loctited them when I got them, as I read that they can come loose, and they've been solid ever since.

Comes with HippoCase.

Asking $650 $590 SOLD paypal'd, shipped and insured worldwide.

Last is my Grados.

I spent about a year on these, swapping bits and playing with damping etc to get the sound I wanted. I took them to the Sydney meet and everyone agreed they sounded better than any other Grado there, RS1 included.

Sounds fantastically well balanced.

These drivers came from a Grado 325i, they have had Dynamat applied to the rear of them.

The cups are Cocobolo.

There are hand made felt lined driver cup extensions in place.

The pads are from a GS1000.

Headband is covered in a Beyerdynamic one, very comfortable.

Cable is a bit over 5ft, 4 strands of 22G Jena wire, terminated in a 3.5 mm Switchcraft. I can put a ¼” on if you prefer.

Comes with HippoCase.

Asking $450 USD paypal'd, shipped and insured worldwide.
