I think this falls under accessories.
Was anyone else confused when they first received their J$ pads for Denon. The stitching wasn't good, they were uneven, and hard??

They are what they are. It improves the sound quality and that is the only thing that matters to me. If you dont like the quality you will have to stuff your stock pads. That is outlined in the markl modded thread.
yea, but when people describe them, they say better build quality than the stock ones, and that's just not true of the ones I received (and sent back for replacement). i was wondering if people were rating the J$ pads highly just because they are an after-market product or what...
I am very interested in the increased soundstage and purported better sound, I just was surprised at how uneven the two were. the ear hole on one was wide and the other narrow, stitched linen backing on one was pretty perfectly round, on the other it was uneven.
And I know people say that they soften up after some use, is that true? or do you just get used to the hardness?
Both, they soften up a little and you get used to the hardness. Also compared to the stock ones which are pleather, these use real leather. The padding that he uses inside of it is stiff which gives an overall harder feel even if the leather was super soft.
