This is a thread to remember the first earphone or portable headphone you had that showed you the light to high end audio.
In memory of the Etymotic ER6i.

Sennheiser PX-100, ftw!
Grado 325
Edit: just realized this was in the portable section derp
First headphone: Sennheiser HD-280 Pro
It was the first hi-fi headphone I've ever owned and is still the best full size can I own. I'm looking to change that over the summer though.
First IEM: V-Moda Bass-Freq
I bought these because they were cheap and my most recent (at the time) pair of earbuds had just broken. The big bass fueled my bass obsession and was perfectly good...at the time
First Hi-Fi IEM: Head-Direct (HiFiMan) RE0s.
Then I got these in January after discovering this forum. Oh boy. These are currently the best all around IEMs I own and have started my obsession with not only IEMs but sound and science altogether.
e3c for me.
me: bose in-ear --> shure se210 --> shure 310 --> westone 3 --> um3x --> ie8 --> jh 13 pro (pending at jh)
Thank you Sennheiser CX 400s
First one that showed me the light was the Phonak PFE.
Er6i here as well
Altec Lansing in Motion iM716
bad memoery, first buy from headfier, waited a month to come, end up getting a stink dirty old IEM which died after 2 week
Fake Sennheiser CX500s. Got me interested in what was out there at least.
For me, it was the IEMs that came with my Sony A818. They seem to be the same as the EX82. One of the main reasons I chose the Sony DAP is because it came with earphones that were supposedly "good". And they really were to me, since I hadn't heard anything better.
The first pair that I went out of my way to buy was a set of Audio Technica ES7s. That changed everything for me.
