I am on the horns of a dilema.

 

I want to buy a DAC and my budget is about $1K. It will primarily be used in a 2 channel system.

 

From poking around it seems the Music Hall 25.2 or one of Vintage Audio's options (Hans Audio 43122 or NOS TDA 1543) are all within my range.

 

How would the ebay based DACs stack up against he Music Hall? Of the Vintage Audio DACs is the price premium over the basic NOS TDA 1543 worth paying?
