Well even if the cable do make a difference, you would probably looking at spending $3k+ on your rig anyway to hear a difference. I would just get something cheap, <$40 will be sufficient.

Thanks, I needed to replace the stubby, stiff, 2 foot BJC I currently have...still can't believe I spent ~$30 on it.

Ha. You're funny. And bitter.

There. I fixed my signature and profile for you.

Well, they're not bad. Cables aren't bad, unless they're maybe some thin RadioShack ones. They should be alright.

Monster is just often considered overpriced. For that price, I wouldn't call them so. Though I wouldn't buy from them out of principle.

Thats not a bad price on the Monster cable.

I don't like the ones I've used/seen though.. the plugs are short, stubby, and has a vice-grip on your equipment.  Pair that with a stiff cable and it's a major PITA to plug stuff into the back of your a/v equipment.  Commercial a/v equipment normally have closely-spaced(14mm) rca jacks and a short/fat plug gives you virtually nothing to grab onto.

I like belkin cables personally - http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=249-170

nice-fitting connector with soft-grip shell, flexible cable.
