Balance could be my last option but it sounds interesting for that, might try that once I got more $$$ to upgrade my whole system.

But I got some real issue now, the HD800 really do give more micro detail and micro dynamic, but, too bassy for me haha, I got poor ears...Loved headphones which doesn't product punchy bass

Audiofi I'm a bit surpriced that you don't you think the Kx0xs' are pretty neutral I'm listening to the K400s' and they seem pretty neutral to me and pretty balanced over the whole frequency range I can understand that some will find them somewhat hollow sounding but apart from that I find them very good for the jazz music that I'm listening to the most of the time, and they do fine with the Beatles too. I don't find them hard to drive either.

Well, yes ... They are pretty neutral and quite natural sounding (240DF, 501 and 701 which is what I own). No doubt about that.

But, at the same time, you can say the same for a wide range of headphones  that sound decidedly different from each other (some models of Senns, Beyers, Ultrasone, etc) but still pretty neutral and natural.

The truth about neutrality must be somewhere in the middle, at least that my take on that.

Later Edit :Must also say - I take a very subjective approach when choosing headphones, at least, and I'm sure that my taste and preferences override my notion of absolute neutrality.
