WTS: A week old AD2000

Yup. Right after I got these I jumped on some HD800. So in order to help pay for those I want to sell these cans. So I can still return these (still another 33 days left) but would like to offer an almost pretty much new AD2000 to fellow head-fiers.I will return these in a week or two if no one is interested.

 

Sell for $450 + shipping and paypal or just shipping if gifting. I will ship to international but thats why I added + shipping. For US add $13 for shipping.

 

I will also take offers but since it is mainly to fund the HD800 I'll be looking into mainly cash but might entertain amp or dac trades.

I think you should specify this is the Audio Technica AD2000, not the Denon D2000.  If people mix it up and see your price they'll get confused - I did :)

Did you get a chace to listen to AD2000 and HD800 side by side in your rig?

I did and find them equally enjoayable  - just different way of enjoying... 

 

I foud AD2000 to be better with female voices and solo instruments.

 

 

Anyway, for $450 this is a no-brainer over the HD650 and even K701 for the pure enjoyment of music

Yea I did. AD2000 great but not a all round can. Great for acoustics but the lacking bass made anything with a beat very disappointing. Also female voices in music without a strong beat is very enjoyable. The fit and comfort however is not.

 

The HD800 are very detailed but quite harsh in the trebles and makes it overly clear that it is harsh on bad recordings. Bass is higher than the AD2000 but still not in high quantity. Quality wise it is very good. Hits nice and deep just not pronouced that well.

 

In the end I'm not keeping either. Probably trade the HD800 in for a T1 who is said to have more bass.

 

I guess if no biters over the weekend it is going back on monday.
