Bass-centric songs.

Looking for more songs that have great range and quality in the bass department. Any genre applies:

International Players Anthem - UGK feat. Outkast

Magical World - Bassnectar

I have many songs that I consider bassy, but these two especially capture what I feel is bass that makes the song. Also in both songs the bass doesn't kick in until a bit into the song. I personally also really like that effect. Just to flesh out the genres: 311 and Red Hot Chili Peppers (obviously because of Flea) and Seven Nation Army - White Stripes (even though it is still technically guitar and not bass) have important bass.

That's just my personal taste. Again, any type of song, whether slow or fast.

Looking to make a good playlist for my Denons.

I am not big on overpowering bass(anymore), but i do like a nice 808 from time to time. I will say this, a lot of early 90s hip-hop had tons of bass. Just check out any track on N.W.A's Efil4zaggin.

Thanks. Yeah I don't mean overpowering, but smooth and clean, where it stands out. I don't think any of the bass from my examples would be called "overpowering." Not sure of too many people who like that.

yeah, well on some stereos even what we think isn't overpowering, still might be sound it. Oh, and The Chronic by Dr. Dre, lots of deep bass hits.

"Why So Serious?" from the OST BatMan The Dark Knight.  There's a point in the song (about 1:10 or so left) that is SOOO low that I never heard the tones before I played them on my LiveWires.  They are such that they almost feel like intese pressure you might feel when you dive deep in the pool or such.  Enjoy!!!

I will post some more when I can look at my playlist that I use to show off my LiveWire Trips...I made the exact same type of playlist that I enjoy blowing my ears off with.  I'll post some more later today.

I use 'Angel' by Massive Attack as a tester track because the opening bass line has caused every setup I have heard to distort, with the exception of the Bose Sounddock!

the bose sounddock?

Also, Sufjan Stevens - They Are NIght Zombies....  is a really good track for testing how detailed a headphone's bass response is.  It is a really dynamic, detailed bass line, and skullkrushers and the likes turn it into unidentified flying bass (UFB's)

Yup, Bose can do bass and I have a Sounddock for the odd occasion we want 'outloud' music. The opening track from the Finley Quaye album 'Maverick a strike' also has a very deep bass line.

Noisia - Shellshock

This track has gone to the top of my test for bass dynamics.

Benga & Coki - Night

Great test of sub bass
