Previous owner had them stored unused in a closet and the flat pads they came with disintegrated. I had some extra SR-60 pads from pair I was modding, eh voila, the SR-80s are now good to go. I was going to keep both but don't really need to. They sound great though, I did use them for a couple evenings.
