What mp3 is better than X1050?B&O sound 2?D50?D9?

everyone has a different opinion for which DAP is better than which DAP

and... D50 is a recorder not a DAP/MP3 player

What  earphones/headphones will you be using, it's not so much an issue of better, but rather synergy with your phones. The Sony is warm sounding,  Most modern Dap's are fairly good, just stick with the mainstream.....no gpx or other cheap garbage, What is your budget?  How much space do you need?

And ignore that last post, and welcome to headfi.

overall i prefer Samsung P3 for its price performance than all of those :)

 

touchscreen, flash UI, dnse, not expensive like Cowon/Sony X1000, good SQ, easy to use, speaker, etc

I will not consider of the price,but UE is too expensive.In China,it always costs 5000-9000 yuan.In fact,i want to select ie8 or ex700.At last,i should say sorry for my poor English.

At first,i also wanted a Samsung P3,but at that time,sony x1050 was more popular than Samsung P3 and it was also more expensive than it,so i thought it would be outstanding,so i bought a x1050.

Welcome to this wonderful place. Are you liking your X1060? I love my Sony A726 than any other dap. Although almost all the daps sound about the same with only a hair difference in some aspects but imo that hair difference is what by which my sony sounds somewhat better than clip v2, touch3g & classic 160gb.

I've got the X1051 as well as most of the other touchscreen players. The X sounds great.  I love it's Wifi podcast updating, Slacker, etc.   Using the same (good) headphones and the same music files it doesn't sound any better to my old ears than the Sony S545 or Cowon S9/J3/i9/Samsung P2/P3, etc. What constantly nags me about the X is it's price. Simply too expensive compared to the competition.

Of course i do.I like use my x1050 to listen pop music,especially hot music of billboard.But i bought a fake JBL reference 220 on the internet and i had not take my px100 to the school,so i even use NC22 to listen to the music now,but i am satisfied with the timbre(however it's better than ipod touch 3g)

I agree with 4dthinker,the price of x series are too expensive,especially in China(it costs 2300 RMB).I think it's worse than touch beside timbre.I general,i was conquered by  it's gread timbre.
