Best IEM for DJ'ing

Hey all.  Been a member here since forever but have never really posted all that much.  I'm currently in the market for an IEM for use while DJ'ing at a couple of the club jobs I have.  I've done some searching and there doesn't appear to be a great deal of threads created by DJs who actually have any clue as to what's needed by the club DJ.

I'd ideally like to spend $300 or less and will need an IEM with relatively flat frequency response across the three EQ bands with good isolation.  For reference I've been using the Ultrasone DJ1 for about 3 years now and I love their sound signature for DJ'ing.

I'm guessing the ER-4P perhaps?  Any suggestions would be great.  Thanks!

Well, there's a ton of options if you can EQ the earphones to an actual flat.  Flat will unfortunately depend on what your ears perceive as flat.  This also changes as volume changes too, so it also depends on how loud the DJing environment is too.  Flat or not, the earphone won't really represent what it sounds like in the club.

Good points.  The clubs that I DJ at tend to be a little lean on the lows (surprisingly) which makes overrepresented bass in a monitor even more problematic.  Any recs?

I've never seen a DJ with IEMs

But yes, people say that Etys have unrivaled isolation, so that seems like the proper choice for a DJ.

You can also check out the UE Triple.Fi 10 , alot of sound engineers use them for mixing at live concert. They are fairly accurate and balance. I think it will give you a better presentation of club music than the Etys .

I would spend $250 on the IEMs and $50 on some good isolation cups.

Those Se110s are absolute **** No bass at all, I don't see why Djs would use that as your DJ earphones....

Give the westone 3s a try? They are AMAZING, very punchy bass and very BIG soundstage
