Still looking for a trade for: Monster Turbine Pro Coppers, Miles Davis tributes, Westone Um3x's or the Orto EQ7's or Phonak PFE's.  I will add cash to my IE8's to make a deal...

Hi JoeyRusso

I take it those shure olive foam mods didn't help with isolation

Thats not looking good for me, as I have the same problem as you

so much that I'm using my W3s now, as I commute on public transport and I cant hear the music when I can hear the train and chatter through the bass tune knob on the ear piece

I'm still waiting for the sony double dual flange from Ebay.. but judging from you wanting to get rid off your IE8s it doesn't look good :(

I might need to trade mine soon as well.....

Jimmy the olives helped with the isolation, however, they also affected the highs and soundstage.  I still love my IE8's and if no one comes through with a trade, I'll keep them and be happy with the stock medium tips and the dual flange tips I bought off of Ebay.  Those dual flanges help the isolation with very little loss in soundstage, and if they affect the sound at all, it's nothing like the Shures or Complys..  Don't give up yet.

I'm also looking for something better than the one I have now which is ie7. It's 3 weeks old and in mint condition. I'm not sure if you want to do trade-in for that. Does yours still have warranty?

Sorry Anthony.. I had the 7's before the 8's.. I'm the second owner of these 8's, so, No, I don't have the warranty card.
