So you disagree that recording techniques are flawed? So are you saying that they reproduce sound perfectly? Does it capture the essence of a live performance perfectly? If you say yes to any of these questions, then.....we'll I won't go there. As a producer, you're just going to have to come to grips with the fact that recording methods are not perfect, thus flawed. Isn't that the definition of flawed? "As a producer, I'm going to have to disagree" - LOL.
Most microphones can hear better than you. That's all I'm going to say on recording.
Additionally, you seem to be taking the live performance as a benchmark whereas in my area (dubstep/drum and bass/IDM) the music is produced in a DAW from scratch with synthesisers, samples etc.
I was trying to respect your opinion and leave it at that but as you don't seem to be aware that most producers will EQ their channels based on their studio monitors which have a flat frequency response, adding an overtly coloured speaker will exacerbate this effect in some cases giving you a result far from what was intended.
I don't want to take this further off-topic so if you want to continue your attempts at e-peen enlargement feel free to PM me.
