I have adapters for the Aleph - > HE-6

Aphrodite Cu29 Furutech XLR-> Zeus Hex22-> Furutech Banana adapter cable

I would have used forks rather than banana, but there is little space around the binding posts and I swap from the Diamond 10.1 to the HE-6. Not as much since I have the Mjolnir/SX-1980/SX-1250/2265B I use as well.

Cable builders and places like btg and moon sell adapters. For example

You can choose the termination to fit your set up.

I just ordered a Macromolecule SE cable for my HE-6. Has anyone here had any experience with Double Helix Cables?

Dub step I have the mytek it is a good preamp , it also has an analog input . If you are planning on getting an amp use it . Try what you have before spending money on just reviews and opinions including mine. But useing what you have and building on it is just a good thing. The mytek is a good dac and the amp is good for many headphones but it is limited to power though..

I have the m7/m8 combo. And the WA5 all tubes upgrade. One is a speaker amp and the m8 is not. They both are really good to me! Did you do the output mod on your mytek??

Hello everybody,

More I A/B HD800/HE6 more I prefer the HE6 which I find more delicate, subtle and organic.

We're they from the same dac?? And what amp or amps??

Hello,

When I speak about A/B it's on the same system with only 5 sec for swap the headphone.

I hear them on AudioGD M7 and MCIntosh MC225.

Very good and I do agree with your comment they are close but I do like the he6. A little better. By the way great dac choice...

I don't think they are close. The HE6 are more, organic, thick, intimate than the HD800. The music flows like a electrostatic.

The HD800 had always a hint of numeriness especially on the voice that are annoying.

I find the same conclusions, i like the HE-6 overall by a good margin, but the HD-800 stays around as a great tool, which is how i see them...just as they were designed.

Although I cannot say it is just like that I do respect all opinions. I think the hd800 is just more sterile and as for some this means less organic. But for me it is more intimate . Like people love the lcd3. I think they are very good at some points. But you are never there your alway away from the music. But I do agree and understand. all of your points...

Yup. The 800s need a warm source or amp to tame the microscopic presentation IMO. I've heard the 800s on a sharp amp and an SS DAC and screamed in agony at the resolution.

I think a few have used T amps with the HE-6 and find satisfactory results. That is a nice, compact form factor.
