Aww.  This is what I've been waiting for.  Some impressions with the Jerg Pads on the HE-6.

I'll check 'em out soon then :)

I have been listening to some pure silver ICs for the past couple weeks and just went back to the copper stranded ICs. I gotta tell ya, I like silver sound. The amount of detail retrieval is incredible. I used the stock cable and Denon pads during this trial so that may have had some balance but I'm very curious to try a silver cabled HE-6.

Has anybody tried the Toxic silver/gold cables on the 6s yet?

Have not tried the Toxic Silver/Gold cables. However, I have Silver ICs coming in any minute now (Shindo Labs). And my headphone cable is Silver-plated Copper, so I'll lend that point of view at least... the sharing of notes!

I have the Toxic Silver Widow on my HE6's, as well as on my LCD2.2's & HD800's.

Simply a superb cable but so was the Silver Poison I had on the HE6's previously.

There are a few users of the SW or SP on the HE6's in the Toxic appreciation thread. Maybe a good idea to ask there as well. ;)

Do you get yours Hardwired or you use the stack connectors?

Out West I think.  He is a really good guy to deal with.  He is the cable maker for Chirs_Himself

1. In this Headfonia article, they say that Hifiman updated their stock cable with silver cable. This was 2 years ago, so unless Hifiman updated their cable again in the meantime, I assume that this has remained the same. That being said, is the stock cable of my HE-6 a silver cable? I find it strange, because in the Hifiman website, it says OCC (single core copper). Exactly what material is the stock cable of HE-6?

Updated:

I spoke with Head-Direct and confirmed the OCC Balanced cable for the HE-6 is correct. And that the Silver-plated Copper cables are for the HE500; HE300.

I use the Toxic Silver Poison with my HE-6's. It is a terrific cable....I had previously used the stock cable ....IMO the Silver Poison out-performs the stock handily..

I have found the same thing with my DIY solid core silver IC. Which is why I too am very curious about making a silver cable for the HE-6. My 12ft. requirement at this time makes it a fairly expensive experiment though lol. I'll get around to it...eventually. It's just not on the top of the DIY list yet. I have a bit of finishing up to do on my primary rig still. I think there's a saying that goes "a mechanic always has car problems, a handyman always has house problems" etc. You get the idea

Yeah, but shipping to customers like me wavey.gif could ease your mind.
