Update: My HE-6 custom cable is 99% complete - Wireworld is only waiting for the smc connectors to arrive.

Made by you?

Wireworld constructed a cable for me using their 19 gauge Silver Eclipse 7 Interconnect.

My D7000 was re-cabled with the Eclipse 6 interconnect. Wireworld hooked-up a fellow member of ours a few months ago using the Silver Eclipse Interconnect for his HE-6. He says it's stiff (understatement ) but the presentation was tremendous.

What I do not know (he hasn't responded to my PM) is if WW used the Eclipse 6 or 7 Interconnect.

Re-cabled with interconnects?  So is it solid core instead of stranded?

Stranded, 'cause my dealer (Robert/Aphrodite Cu29) re-sheathed it into a flex mesh jacket. But Wireworld themselves appear to be leaving the original exterior in place. I have their Interconnects here (Eclipse 6) and they're stiff.

But...

...This is AUDIO, what won't :tongue_smile:we try?!

I've been trying to get additional info from fellow member 'joe55ag' to no avail.

It's possible, though I see them working through dealers. However, they'll ship the product direct once paid for.

ADD.:  The original Eclipse 7 Headphone cable from Wireworld earlier this year was intended to showcase the HD800, but we gonna make 'em shine :wink:with the HE-6. And then there's the manner of termination, pigtail options, length ect, so that $550/10ft quote is pixie dust:

- Silver Eclipse Headphone Cable 10ft

- SMC for HE-6

- Male 4-pin XLR adapter

- Female 4-pin XLR

- 1 Meter matching pigtail cable; Spades

My custom work retails for $1,575 though I'm getting a dealer discount at $1,217. And Wireworld is discounting me further @ $1,182 shipped.

Thanks Silent One..looking good. I enjoy WW cables as I'm currently using the Silver Eclipse 6 i/cs and power cords for my setup.

You're most welcome. I'm currently using a Silver Eclipse 6 Interconnect; pair of Eclipse 6 Interconnects; Silver Eclipse 6 USB and 4 Electra 5* power conditioning cords. As I sit my WW Kool-aid down, I think I may be overlooking a WW cable or two.

Hahaha...a WW fan through and through! I recently bought a pair of Audioquest Golden Gate i/c (less than $100) and it's sounding really good as well considering my WW i/c cost several times more than it!

I know there are some pretty knowledgeable people that say these don't need that much power but experience says otherwise. When the designer put them on a 100w Threshold speaker amp, things got real interesting. It opened the door to unlimited possibilities that we have been experimenting with. They also pushed the headphone amp makers to up their game from what typically worked for other headphones. Those of us that went the speaker amp route found other headphones can be played on them as well. I've got a $2k headphone amp collecting dust.

+1 I must admit, I'm enjoying the option of speaker amps for my headphones! It just brings so much to the table in a good way, and the hunt of finding the "diamond in the rough" is half the fun.
