i know that the black dragon is more expensive but the quality of copper is another league

Here's a pic of my he6 rig with the yulong da8 that just arrived today. Its connected to a custom mini-itx PC via audioquest diamond USB and all analog cables are audioquest Colorado. Jriver with jremote on an iPad mini as front end smily_headphones1.gif

Me too. If the stock cable had nice sleeving I don't think I would bother with aftermarket =p

Toxic and Reign; need to find SAA Endorphin and Zeus cable to complete the collection maybe tongue_smile.gif.

I think the Reign is among the nicest cable you can find these days. Superb braiding/sleeving, and the Zebra wood spliter is soooo classy

OMG I disagreed with Darryl! Is the world gonna end?! eek.gif

Just kidding, while I believe cables do make a difference, they do not make or break a system -- that's for sure. And they are insanely priced -- I think.

Re Black Dragon, I have bunch of cables from Drew (Black and Silver D), but I really dont like the ergonomics. They do sound good but the cost sucks.

Guess my performance comments aren't going to be to par because I'm not changing my original cable. redface.gif

I'll send in my Supremus card back Friday.

I was also thinking of getting Toxic. While I hear ya that you are a cable skeptic, how does your Toxic compare to Reighn? Do you find the gold in Toxic do anything to the bass like they say on the Wesite?

Great minds think alike.  I have the SAA Endorphin being installed on my HD800s as we speakbiggrin.gif.  However, I had the Zeus installed on my T1's..  Didn't like it much.  I changed it to a Reign biggrin.gif

+1

It definitely doesn't degrade the sound. I hear a small amount of difference sometimes, but it's so subtle I don't bother with it, or try to convince others. The difference has to be obvious for me to state anything definitive. Like USB cables. LOL very_evil_smiley.gif

lol....i have 4 usb cables once. all sounded diff to my ear...its a curse. And all the science-speak is german to me..i just drive my truck n enjoy my music.

I do believe in cable difference. I just don't find cable opening up pathway to heaven and angel descending down to sing in your ear, especially short run of headphone cable to make significant difference. That said I have been using silver with 1% gold wire for a while (Mundorf) and I like them, to me they're a good compromise between pure silver vs copper. Too cheap (and lazy) to use them for headphone cable however, until Toxic cable came along and I grab one from the classified.

About the bass, I don't find pure silver cable lacking bass; nor do I find the silver/gold wire to do any "miracle" in that department. If you want to try the silver mixed with gold wire ; there's plenty of places that sell them without the current atrocious lead time from Toxic cable bigsmile_face.gif. It won't be as pretty as Frank makes them, but at least you don't have to wait half a year. While you're at it, maybe try some crystal piccolino wire too haha.
