My bad.
Just that you said you tried. Then you say you love the combo "but"
I thought maybe there was an issue. My bad, I see it's not.
Glad you're enjoying the Beta22/HE-6 combo..

well. my english is a little bad.
i tried in my builder´s house and the first impression is positive
when i will have the combo in my house, i write more...
sorry for the mistake
Hello,
Can a tube amp be damaged with the HE6 because of different impedance ?
No mistake, the second part of your sentence explained the first part. Your english is fine.

I've recently discovered artifacts on the right side driver only audible when playing piano tracks. And I have only had these for a month!
The past few pages also intrigued me in First Watt amps and more generally in current source amps to pair with HE6, I would be on the lookout for a F1/F1J too but I feel they are very exclusive having only 101 units built guess I'll start saving for F4s haha.

Doing that now
My only question about the F4 is what's the point? You need to feed it with something that put out loads of voltage which is going to be your GS-X or B22? Both have enough current ability to stay class A to their voltage cap and will impart their character on the chain so... why F4s? Honest question, not a jab.
The point of F4 is to strive for the pinnacle of clean amplification. Yes, you would probably need to invest in a high-gain preamp as the source needs, quoted from Nelson Pass himself, "+/-20V peak (single ended drive) and double in balanced operation."
At the end all this does is see how well HE6 can perform at its finest.
So your hoping Pass' buffer is better than the buffer you already have? Trading Gilmore's 16 BJT PP for Pass' 12 MOSFET PP? I see where it makes sense for speaker pre-amps but driving a buffer with a buffer seems like a loss to me.
you can take just the front end from here to drive the F4 or build it
as shown.

no feedback, and Thd < .01% (tested at .008%) into he6.
Very fast. Very quiet. 10db of gain as shown. 8 watts at 50 ohms.

Was also looking at a balanced a20 for the F4s. I'm getting the a20 anyway for the F1J.

for those who don´t understand the design, please what kind of amplifier is?
balanced or not, fet or mosfet?....
thank you
