Probly just a disconnected wire, just open it up and take a peek inside.

Honestly, I called up Customer Service to order a new HE-6 case. I'm surprised it didn't hit the porch while I was still on the phone with Ms.T...fast!

prepro, you may find that what you get may not be the ones you sent, hence the quick turnaround. I think they provide repairs and stock them for exchange when defective or damaged gear comes in. The fact that they do this at such a reasonable cost is a value. If we were told we had to buy new ones, there would be some mighty sad faces here.

Well, here is mine (below)  I don't think they'll send me a different pair.

x2. They replaced one of my HE6s last year without delay or hassle. Excellent communication too.

BTW, my opinion of these cans hasn't changed since last year. Still one of the best I've heard, and tied with the HD800 for favourites. It was the silver cabling that really pushed them to the Senn's level IMO. Tight, jackhammer-like bass and a more energetic, involving but less fatiguing sound.

Interesting on the HD800. I found the HD800 to be very fatiguing compared to the HE-6 on a speaker tap.

Really source and amp dependent. Can't generalize. I think the Senns are fatiguing on some setups and too smooth and distant on others.

I forgot you hardwired those. That is indeed quick turnaround.
