Just to be clear.  These are not the MarKL or J$ (thick) angled pads.  These are the original stock Denon pads.  Here is a photo of my HE-500 with the same pads..

IIRC now the angled pads were not much of an improvement.

 

Coming from my experience with the D7000 (of which I find similarities in terms of pads), the "angled pads" cause really bad sibilance. 

Here is a link, The picture of the HE-6 are mines. I have not seen them yet and he stated the picture don't do them justice.

Thanks for the heads up. My original velours need replacement. I'm using the HiFiman pleather which ain't bad.

They are sweet looking. Purple would be awesome.

I cannot wait to get them in. I thought they would be in today. The USPS web site had me all ready, but no show. I guess a couple of more days will not hurt. Also, my noiseaudio cables should be in also. Man, back to relaxing at the end of a long day, I can't wait...... Now I don't know if I will just look at them or wear them. I guess I will just have to put a mirror on my desk.  

 

 

Wow! They do look sharp, but man that sure is expensive. I got a chip in my cups and I was thinking about something to mask it. Wonder if hifiman would do something ?   Does anyone know if they sell headbands too? Mines the older version and I'd like a little more pad up top.

The price included the mini xlr mod, I don't know what is the price just for the paint job.  

 

Well, as far as my face, well I don't know, but at least it will make the cans look that much better. 

I would be more interested in just the mini XLR connectors.

I would so get them for the mini XLR. I hate the current connectors as it is but I do have a HE cable incoming as well.

It doesn't say that the cables are part of the deal. The plastic cups look different.

These are the Lawton Pads, they are brilliant quality, they look real classy. Apparently made by the same person responsible for many of Lady Gaga's outfits? I've ordered a pair made of bacon to try
