As for your comment about younger generation not being patient, I do tend to agree, but the access to greater market knowledge and knowing what is and isnt normal sales processing does give more opportunity to react.

I am 40 years old but as excited as a teenager about listening to one of the best cans available.  Classify me as you like.

What number did you call? I called the customer service number in the website this morning but got a recording and left a message. So far I have not received a call back. After reading your post I just called again and got the same recording.

Being a personal friend of Fang's, I called Mrs.T on your behalf, and she said that she has tried to call you back 4 times, and each time, she has gotten a busy signal. She said you are welcome to call her right now, and she will gladly speak to you right away.

I have done this for a dozen MOT's that I know of, personally, and my number one goal, is to make everyone happy. It seems that everyone is on a tear lately (must be a full moon), and although I can't help out anyone with Ultrasone, I can do the best I can with some of the smaller companies who I have been friends with for years, because I held the first National Meet hold NYC Meets every year and have befriended many good, hard working people.

I know Fang, and how he runs his company and I really feel that lately, he has been getting an unfair shake. He is a hard worker with unimaginable scruples.Everyone should take a deep breath and remember that niceness gets you further in life than meaness.

Same thing with Whiplash, Ray Samuels, Moon Audio, Woo Audio and another dozen companies that I have worked with personally. I am not trying to show favoritism, I just don't like to hear bad things about good people. I can't right all of the wrongs, but I can try.

Just ordered a set today, Jan 17th, paid via PayPal at the initial pricing and just got an e-mail shipping confirmation asking for my phone number.

While I agree that to keep the price the same as the LCD-2 would seem to make sense I don't see this happening as per Fang's announcement: "HE-6P sound better than HE-5LE and will be priced between HE-6 and HE-5LE."

Carpe Diem!

Same thing happened to me. I ordered them just before midnight on Saturday and I received an email yesterday morning asking for my phone number. I reply the email immediately but I have not received any shipping confirmation yet.

Sorry for any confusion, I meant that they confirmed my order and asked me to send me my phone number ASAP so my shipment would not get delayed which I did so promptly.

I did not receive any tracking info thus far and from what I have read here by the time one receives that info the package is well on its way.

It takes about 3-4 days from the time you order to get the shipping confirmation (weekend included). After that, it's a matter of 1-2 days until it reaches your doorstep.

Thanks for the information Shahrose and tank you very much for your help immtbiker a really appreciate it.

I don't know what happened with her calls because I left her my cell phone number. She already sent me an email stating that she sent the information to her shipping manager in China.

Sorry if you felt I was attacking Fang that was not my intention. based on what vinyllp33 is saying I guess that email asking for the phone number might be just an automatic reply after the order.

Believe me I know and understand the situation small companies like this one or Woo go through with growing pains of opening a market that's why one of their biggest assents is good and personal customer service. I have dealt with Woo (Jack) since I ordered my WA5-LE and it is a total pleasure to deal with him.

I really look forward to receive my HE-6. After I listened to them in my WA5-LE I just fell in love with them.

Oh yeah!

I think the WA5 and HE-6 will go down as one of best combinations of this new decade.

The combination of sheer power coupled with excellent low-level detail and finesse is just what these headphones need to bring them to full potential.

I'm almost ashamed to say how good the HE-6 sounds from the new iBasso PB2 portable balanced amp.

Hey immtbiker,

Since you are friends for Fang, do you have any information regarding the impedance box he was planning to release to connect the HE-6 to high power amplifiers?

I am seeing this more and more with our MOT's and it is frustrating me. I am noticing that this is a pattern of younger purchasers. We did not have this problem 4 years ago when we had a tenured member population. What's going on? It's very difficult to mod a group of a younger demographic population. Wait and i will come. Purchasing and and maturity go hand in hand.

I at least had no problems whatsoever.  The shipping was incredibly fast and the HE-6 has already arrived at my mail forwarder.  I'm looking forward to listening to them very soon  o2smile.gif

BTW: Buy my Meier-Audio Corda Opera amp+DAC if you want to help out a guy who is now very poor! tongue.gif

Ironically, I just left Fang. Wow. What a coincidence.

He brought one over and told me the price is definitely going to be $100. It has the Neutrik connector in the front and 4 speaker taps that accommodate spades, bare wire and banana plugs.

I also got a chance to hear the HE-6P out of my iMod, Nano 5G and my HM-801. It's definitely far more efficient than the 6's but the 6's are a step above the 6P's in sound quality. It has beautiful detail, but (and I think this is because the gold diaphragm is aluminum in the P) the highs are a small step below the 6's.

Just to share my experience, ordered on 13th Jan and the package was on my door step on 17th Jan. It's was quicker than I had expected.... shipped from Hong Kong and I am in the Far East maybe that explains the speed. Actually I did not get confirmation or tracking number but just a mail confirming payment was received and asking for phone number and in 1~2 days later.. HE6 on door step. Now to hook up with my Sony power amp N9000 (in the next few days) and see how it sounds..hope no disappointment. Thereafter will look for a dedicated headphone amp.. preferably tubes. This is going to be exciting and since a newbie with tubes here, I am already confused over the tube rolling...

Perhaps it needs a speaker amp?  rolleyes.gif

Perhaps what needs a speaker amp? The HE-6P is specifically designed to work as a portable headphone right out of a DAP's headphone jack or with a portable amp. And what's with the roll eyes? rolleyes.gif

Just wondering why it sounded like how you described it. I still would like to hear it with a speaker amp.

Fang knows that the highs aren't the same as the HE-6 and that the HE-6 offers more due to the use of a speaker or powerful amp. The HE-6 was designed to make the most out of that power. There is a little given up to go ultra sensitive as in the HE-6P but I would imagine the little given up would still offer some very good sound considering you are using a small portable amp or a DAP. I think it would be great fun to have an ortho out of one of my analogue upgraded iRivers.

The HE-6P can be easily driven by our portable players, and even by an apple ipod. Because HE-6P did not use the gold diaphragm which made HE-6 very difficult to drive, HE-6Ps' high is not as perfect as HE-6, and lacking the potential to be driven by Hi-end speaker amplifier to get really Hi-end experience. HE-6P sound better than HE-5LE and will be priced between HE-6 and HE-5LE.

Thank You !!!!

Wow! that is 9.5 db more efficient that the HE-6 which means it will required 1/8 of the power to drive them at the same volume level of the HE-6. It is clearly design for a portable amplication.

By the way, Ms T. sent me an email letting me know that the impedance box should be available within 3 to 4 weeks and she confirmed the price at $100. Even that the HE06 sound beautiful with mt WA5-LE I am getting one just to see how they will sound out of my Threshold S550e (since Fang was driving them with a Threshold 400A at Canjam).
