Thanks. Hmm.. a possible challenger to the GS-X for the ultimate SS heavyweight crown  . The only thing which kept me from considering buying the GS-X was that if I was gonna pay so much money for an HP amp then it better drive all my HP's well, otherwise no value for money. Indians are very value conscious that way. :dt880smile:

What do y'll think about getting it with the DAC?

Darryl - you've heard their gear before, right? how do you like their DACs?

I've heard their small DAC - Not impressed by it at all.  I haven't heard any of their TOTL DACs.  I want to.  The com pay is a real high end company.  However, that also mean real high end prices.  The integrated amp I really like from them cost $8K.

WOW!!!!

Also be interesting to see how well the crossfeed circuit works out on the Simaudio amp... It was definitely a welcome feature with the Meier gear I've tried.

thanks man. The cost really is a tough barrier when it gets that high.

how would you say their integrated compares to your First Watt? Even if you did not do side by side, I'd be interested in any impressions, understanding all the normal caveats.

Try this one. It will test the dynamics of your setup. Through the HE-6 this recording distinguished that my ARC D70 is more dynamic than my Copland 504. I only have the CD.

Great! I just saved it in the shopping cart since I can't afford it just yet. Looking forward to hearing it myself.

Did anybody with one of the KSA-5 clones that Mr. Gilmore was working on ever come out with some thoughts/impressions? Seems like an amp with some potential for the HE-6, even if a bit underpowered, given the current knowledge consensus...

Any thoughts? :)
