I see Bi-amping possibilities. :D Bridge the pair for the low end, run the third in stereo.

A fellow (and rather new) HE-6 owner here. I've just finished reading this thread from start until now, and it's pretty impressive how well it has held up over the years. There are so many FOTM cans that come and go, but the 6 seems to have real staying power.

And I should say: I absolutely LOVE mine. Can't imagine much better, honestly.

+1

just what i was about to say!!

So an update since I haven't been as active on here lately (mostly just responding to daily PMs I receive and a few posts here and there), I'm still very happy with my HE-6 and haven't really felt like getting other headphones back (HD 800 and LCD-X/3 can wait longer!). I haven't felt like upgrading or changing anything, though a newer amp would be nice, since I don't know how long mine will last being an older amp. It sounds great though!! These pass labs amps are really good!!

Happy to see you post, DSG!  Pass Amps are the schiznit!  Should get you through the next 20+ years.  Only maintenance item would be electrolytic caps.  May want to look into having them replaced at some point.  Other than that, you should be good for a very long time :)

Not surprised to hear you say that Theogenes, from what I've seen in various threads and in relation to several headphones we've both owned it seems our taste in sound is pretty similar. Congrats!
