Well if I had to throw an initial impression out there... this particular setup reminds me of the Gungnir/Mjolnir combo. Granted, I'm still in the early stages here, and I'm not exactly that familiar with the G+M, but that was one of my first thoughts.

Gungnir.... Mjolnir

Never heard of 'em! :D them.

They're just a spear and a hammer :D

been listening to the HE-6 and T1 today and WOW! the HE-6 really sounds alot like the T1, its like the ortho version of the T1. Looks like the T1 will go for now since the HE-6 seems to do what the T1 does but better in almost every way. (the T1 has better imaging and slightly more speed but the HE-6 has more body and is more transparent), they sound incredibly close on some tracks, its crazy how dead neutral they are but somewhat treble oriented and with slight colorations that add musicality to them.

That mean the HE-500 also sounds close to the T1:confused:  I kept the T1 over the HE-500s, then the T1 sadly went as well.  Sometimes I want her back..;)

no the He-500 is warmer and smoother, its even more different than HE-6. the bass sounds different too and the tone is slightly different. HE-500 isn't as fast either nor as detailed.

You should just keep 1 or 2 stat, 1 ortho and 1 dynamic Dubstep Girl . 1 flavor of each type of tranducers =p

When I was at the NYC audio show
And others I did head to head and the truth is
The HE 6 wins. I own the top 4 headphones.
And the he 6 wins. Dub step your crazy
To sell it. Of all the stuff I own. It is the headphone
Of choice. A headphones have consessions but the HE 6 does more really well
Then all the others. Even the ELECTRO S.
I have the 009 and the HE60. Better in someways
But the he 6 is better in more places and genres
. To me the HE 60 and HE 6 are the best out there.
All the rest have to catch up to the HE 6.

Wow, Dubstep- saying goodbye to 3 flagships. Guess it's pretty clear which flagship is your favorite smily_headphones1.gif

Ha, I basically made exactly this comment to you in another thread. Selling my T1 for much the same reason, it has similar genre bandwidth to the HE-6 for me, but it doesn't do anything better than the HE-6 (or at least not significantly better enough) to listen to it over the HE-6. Incidentally, paired with the Auralic Taurus MKII and Vega I found the imaging really became a lot more precise on the 6. The orthodynamic T1 is a pretty good descriptor really.

An even better amp plus some simple modding stomps on the T1. And I really liked the T1 too.

I was listening to the HE-6 as well last night and I honestly felt that the HE-6 is by far the best sounding headphones I've had so far. What's amazing is that it even brought out more information than the HD800, I heard things in my material that I had never heard with using the HD800.

+1 on the T1 vs. HE-6 talk. I said similar things a few months ago that led me to sell off my beloved T1, then I went crazy and bought a bunch of flagships and realized they were all redundant, or not as good as HE-6. The only one that even held a candle to the HE-6 was the HD-800, but I find the HD-800 to leave out some fundamental things when listening that the HE-6 has. The primary things the HE-6 has is overall wider extension in both extremes, supreme balance/linearity, and the speed excels at high volume. I will take those fundamental things over a fancy headstage and better comfort any day of the week lol.
