hello all,
i was considering bulding an inline teflon vcap lod for an imod like the one quaddy sold on here a few years back ( http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/295419/sold-unique-ultra-portable-oimp-v-cap-imod-dock ) . i have basic soldering skills and want to use some of the best caps avaliable and have great portability, better than a rather large box anyway. all i need it to do is be able to connect to a rsa predator and a 5.5th gen imod. preferably inline with the imod.
The rub is that this would be my first audio diy project. i have soldered before to make cable repairs exc. but that is the extent of my knowlege. if anyone could give me some pointers (step by step instructions is more like what i am looking for, at least on what gets soldered to what.) i would be grateful.
also a parts list would be swell, im assuming i need a lod, mini jack, caps, solder and some small interconnect wires but dont know if that is all.
like i said this will be my first diy audio project, any info on good ( best in your opinion) parts is greatly appriciated. i was leaning twards teflon vcaps (dont know which ones exactly that info would also be useful) but i am open to all suggestions.
