Pending move has me downsizing to a one box unit, so the Melos has to go. 2nd owner after Doug S talked me into buying this one, which turned out to be one of my best Audio purchases ever. This one can go buggy with the 'balance' at times, but playing with either the remote or the selector switch will bring it back to normal, or at least that has been the case for me....if I were a DIY person I'd just fix the issue, but I'm not so it is what it is. This is not a MAR upgrade, but was done at the Factory per the original owner.
No tube issues, I've tried many exotic one's but for whatever reason the JJ's sound best to me, go figure; and they've been running 24/7 for at least 5 years with no issues.
Mark Porzilli, the designer, is planning on opening up a shop for repairs/upgrades sometime in 2010, at least that's what was posted a couple of places on the web.
