hey guys how many of you have experience buying refurbished ipods.

did you get the headphones which come with them new or the used one?

I've purchased two refurbished iPods. Both came with brand new ear buds, and neither had as much as a scratch on them. Can't say my experience is typical, but I see no reason to buy new in this case.

I've gone through several (literally, not an estimate) refurbished iPods, and unless you must, absolutely must, have the cardboard box that holds the retail iPods, get the refurbished ones to save money.

I bought a refurbished and it only lasted 1 yr. Bad for me...i guess it was bad luck.

Meh, they're useful for listening to podcasts or watching movies; at least that's what I use mine for.
