you all must be suffering through this problem every now and then and may be you would have found some better solution for that.

To me the worst problem with my headphone cable is its tangling together and eventually resulting in many other problems.

how do you manage your cables?

thanks

I wrap them in a nice coil then hang them on my HD.phone stand when not in use.....My other power cords and Ics, I use Cable Elevators, that I bought at an Old "Ohio Bell Sale"......Same as the High price jobbies you see for big bucks!  I got 30 ceramic ones in a box, for 5 $s..

Nice coil on the desktop when not in use. The headphone cable that is.

While the power and interconnect cables hang free on the back of the desk, without any specific management.

I suspend them as much as possible. ICs are brought in on the opposite side of power cords. The power cord is coiled and suspended behind the rack, below the amp/dac. This way, there are no hard surfaces.

Kind of like jumping over the baselines when going on and off the field. lol

Mine hang down the back of cabinet. I found coiling them encouraged twisting. Every so often I hang the headphone from a lampshade to take the kinks out of the wire.

When I get my custom cable for my K702s, I think I'm going to buy 2 headphone stands, one for the cans and one for the coiled cable. If this isn't optional (due to monetary reasons), I'm probably just gonna wrap it up when not in use and put it on some cloth or something out of the way.

As for the stock cable I wrapped a portion of that up and rubberbanded it together to decrease the length.

I only allow however much headphone cable I need to be floating above the floor, the rest I lay on the floor in such a way that, when accidentally pulled, won't tangle up in itself, and I keep it away from other cables. For interconnects/power cables, I try to make them run their full length rather than bunch them up, but if it's very thin cable and also long, I would just fold it upon itself and use the black aluminum wire wraps they use to bundle cables with, or if you threw them all away, one of those aluminum wire wraps at supermarkets.

Headphones are put away after use hence no problems.

Program them correctly.

I hate cables on the carpet. Really anal about it. My Power conditioner is like 2 feet of the ground and the Power strip is on the rack. Headphone cable is held by a couple of holders. Nothing is unmanaged.
