I've heard rumors of an android Walkman? This true? If so think about it, a Walkman that can run apps, now that might actually have a shot at outrunning an Itouch

I thought it was because of the (new) A series.

I hope you're right, but I just want FLAC + DivX support please.

We all know? Guess I have missed out of something then...

It has been mentioned on a few sites (Sony Insider, Engadget also I believe???), but don't hold your breath. If it happens, it happens.

Me, I just want a Sony Walkman w/64gb of internal storage, w/an English option in the Settings. That's all,.....then I'll be happy.

I read people saying (in Japanese forum) Sony has a 'tendency' of releasing new DAPs in either April or October. April has gone, 4.5 months to October...

Android doesn't immediately mean good. It means a good OS, which is something Sony's X could use, though its navigation is okay. I just wish Sony'd make the X and A series a lot smaller, tiny LCD screens and less hiss. would love gapless too.

I have to agree w/you 100%, as these feature improvements would make their players even better - and I also prefer tactile controls over touch myself.

A 64gb Sony in the form factor of the S639 would be PERFECT IMO, ain't gonna happen just the same.

We all know how Sony never does what the masses would like,......
