Broken Social Scene- Forgiveness Rock Record

Just picked this up yesterday and liking it quite a bit so far. Somewhat more pop than the last couple of albums and a bit more accessible than "you forgot it in people" I especially like Chase Scene so far.

 

Texico Bi###es is just goofy though catchy.

 

The significant other weighed in though "what is that weird crap" :)

 

Anybody else given it a listen?

Truly a great album. I got to know the band just recently and I like this newest album the most. The first track is awesome.

Funny, I never could get into BSS. Often they're just too cute for me, but there has always been something there. Thus I decided to give them one last try with this latest and really enjoyed it.. Sentimental X's would be my favorite song so far. It has a quiet sweetness to it; has made remember the good times with those that have shared my life.

 

I'll agree that's it's a darn good album.

For me BSS took off when they released their selftitled album. They are truly a talented band and the cool thing about them is they have a certain looseness to their songs. Something nonchalant and sometimes even too much to the point where it makes me say ''come ooooon, stop this whine!" Generally great knack for melody once again brought to ear on this new record.

 

Good stuff and probably 2010 top contender :)

I love "You Forgot It In People", but wasn't crazy about anything I heard after that; they got too weird. Maybe I'll check this album out. They're such a talented group of people; I would love to see them live!
