Great album by the way, really hard to pay attention to anything else when listening to it.

So Pelican is releasing a new EP and I couldn't be more excited! They have a free track available on bandcamp for those who are interested (who wouldn't be?? wink.gif).

Cover art reminds me of my favorite album by "The Nice" with Keith Emerson.

It is also quite close to pelicans new album.  Though the color theme is different.

Thanks for the heads up! Definitely interested in seeing those two live. Are they selling tickets yet?

Nope, I don't see info about it other than the tweet.  It should become more official as time moves along.

I saw Russian Circles a couple of nights ago, spolied by a terrible sound at the venue which meant the drums were way louder than the lead guitar. A double header with ASIWYFA would be superb.

Details were just released on the U.S. ASIWYFA/Russian Circles tour. Still planning on going to the L.A. one, wondering who the special guests will be, should be a mindblowingly fantastic show.

Folks, could you suggest me something that very similar to GY!BE mood and sound wise? I have tried to listen a lot of post rock and alike bands, but nothing ever got close to them.

Have you tried earlier Mogwai, such as "Come On Die Young"?

Mogwai is one of my favorite post-rock groups. Their first album, Young Team, is one of my top albums ever. What did you think of their newest release? I know a lot of fans didn't like it, but I was digging the new direction in pacing and sound.
