I'm currently shopping for a pair of IEMs that have (1) comfort, (2) excellent isolation, and (3)sound with ~$150 in mind. I plan to take these primarily to airports. I originally was taking my SRH840/HFI-580, but it's not as portable as I thought it'd be. Would like a good portable pouch to come with them as well.
I primarily listen to alternative rock, pop punk, trance, and some post hardcore stuff. So I need something that has presence and does not require an amp to power.
I've come up with the following list to look at:
- Monster Turbine ($150) [ Would the Monster Turbine Gold/Copper be worth $50 extra? ]
- Klipsch X5 ($150)
- Ultimate Ears 700 ($170)
Have any of you owned at least 2 of these and could provide some feedback? Based on what I'm reading, it sounds like Monster Turbine is what I should be going for.
