FS: Denon D5000 w/J$ Pads & Twisted Cables - Vortex (shorty)

Hmmm, I guess quasp was right. Most people do not want a short HP cable. I thought for sure these would have sold already.

Well, I guess I should lower the price so I can move these. I have $580 into these but I need to raise cash so I am going to lower the price to $450. I hope that helps!

I am the second owner of these D5000's that I bought from northshore in late December 2009 (cost $300).

I added the JMoney Pads (cost $60) and then asked Quasp @ Twisted Cables to build me a custom 4 foot cable so it would fit perfectly at my desk without having cable dangling around my chair or floor. It has Furutech FP-704 and is 2 pair of Cryo's "the wire" with soft nylon covering (cost $220).

Here is the link to the review that pushed me to buy the Vortex cable: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/437569/twisted-cables-vortex-review-and-comparison-against-equinox-and-cardas-sennheiser-cables

Info on the JMoney pads in case you are not aware: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/434744/jmoney-denon-ear-pads

I just bought a set of AT-W1000X from monsieurguzel two hours ago and I need to sell the Denon's to help finance purchase.

I removed the fabric earpiece liner that was on the JMoney pads as the Denons have a wire mess protective cage and are recessed quite a bit. It appeared to help the upper frequencies a bit.

There is no gold lettering on the left wood cup as I smeared a few letters with the palm of my hand when changing out the ear pads and decided to just buff it off with microfiber cloth. the letters on the HPs are amazingly fragile as you might know. No scratches or blemishes on wood and these still sound great!

Better than when I bought them by a long stretch.

EDIT: I did not mention that I have the original cable and the original box that is included with this. I can also throw in a brand new Furutech FP-704 plug (paid $13) that I bought when I thought I would be wiring these myself (before learning of the great job quasp does on his cables). I am going to lower the price from $490 to $475 becasue this is the amount I ended up paying for the new HPs I bought from monsieurguzel last night and I think it would be cool to sell at what I bought at (gathering good karma where I can...).

I have $580 into the Denon's and I am willing to sell and ship to CONUS for $490 $475 $450 (includes orignal cable, box, new Vortex cable, Furutech plug, JMoney Pads and original ear pads)

Dang, if that cable was longer I'd buy it :(

When I asked quasp to build me a short cable he warned me it would hurt the resale on it but I was thick headed and demanded a 4 ft cable. I am glad I did as I hat to have a cord dangling around to get caught on things to end up having the HPs ripped from my head or something. It is perfect for someone that keeps his desktop amp within an arm's reach of where they are working. I am a programmer and rarely move from my keyboard during the day (surrounded by 4 monitors).

So I figure there must be someone with my taste in conservative cord length out there as well.

I understand by all means, I generally sit about 8 ft away from my amp because I sit on my couch and listen quite often. I'm sure you'll find plenty of interest in these anyhow, they're sweet looking cans.
