Sennheiser HD-598s are the most comfortable headphones I've had the opportunity to use. I recommend these wholeheartedly for any first-time hi-fi buyer because of their excellent soundstage and...
I just received my SigPros (bought from a fellow head-fi'er), and now have several hours with them. They are great headphones. Agree with most of what everyone's saying about them. These...
Beats out the Bose Triport, the HD 202 and HD 435s, the AT M35 and AT M50. Just try it and see. Extremely comfortable (I wear mine while commuting and studying, for about 5+ hours a day). Bought...
I just received my Fiio LOD cable and when I connected it to my Ibasso P3+ amp the volume is too loud even when I turn the volume all the way down. Is there any way to lower my ipod volume when I insert the LOD cable?
I don't know if there is a gain switch on the amp and you are running it in high gain. Or your hearing is super sensetive as the line out signal from the iPod is normally not considered to be that loud
I think hes talking about attenuators. You make a phone jack with resistors inside it, adding more resistance to your output, so that your headphone is less sensitive. You can buy it online too. I'm sure there are variable attenuators being sold too. Do a search on headphone attenuator. But, your amplifier should not react in that way. Sound like your amp might be defective. Check the gain knob.

I dont what is causing it but its definately not because I have super sensitivity hearing. I measured the volume and its about 90-95 dB which can cause hearing damage if I listen to it for 1 or more hour per day.
I know for my iphone volume is at max when I connect headphones directly to line out. Not sure if your amp is being bypassed and you have headphones directly to line out somehow? Check to see if you have everything connected at the right connectors. Did you just recently acquire the P3+? Are you familiar with it?
No, I dont think its my headphone. Its probably because of my amp or LOD. I have tried using the denon AH-d2000, Sennheiser HD595, Shure se210, IE8, and a lot of other headphone/iem that I own and I the lowest volume I was able to measure was 85 dB.

Im not sure, I had the P3+ for about 2 month but I am still not familiar with it. I left the screwdriver at my parent's house so I wont be able to open it until I get back there in about a month... :(
I uploaded a video to show you how loud it is. Ipod volume set at MAX vs LOD through amplifier at about 3/4 cause I didnt want to vaporize my apple earphones.
Seams like, the line out is shorted out to your headphones. Did you or anybody swap any internal components(opamps, buffers etc..) out lately? Or your pot is disfunctional. If you increase the knob does it get louder? your phones might be blown already, do it with cheap phones, if you want to check.
