Thinking of re-cabling a pair of Denon AH-D5000. (cable is exhibiting some wear and tear, so far cosmetic only)
Looking for: a 3m, Shielded 20 or 22 AWG, OFC cable terminated with a 1/8" neutrik or similar plug.
Since the headphones are dual entry, the cable needs to have a main tube and a y-split (at about 2.6m) with about 40cm of individual channel wires (maybe in their own soft tubes) to where I solder them to the driver. The tube material should be durable and not too rigid, but I don't really care what it is.
Please contact me if you can supply the cable to/in Melbourne Australia and/or can provide a dyi guide to not breaking the D5000 while doing it or can recable them (obviously for a fee).
p.s. I'm thinking about max AU$100 parts + labour, or about $60 max for the cable (realistic prices, not lawtonaudio prices). If nakpro can do it for akg k702 cables http://cgi.ebay.com/1-8-AKG-Headphone-Cable-K702-K271s-K141s-K171s-K240s-/190377057351?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c535b5c47 for $18 + $8 shipping, I'd expect the $60 cable to be fun-f-g-tastic?
