Opinions on Audio Technica CKM55's?

I found some CKM55's in Singapore for $78SGD (On holidays here until Friday ) and had a try; they sounded quite decent on my Cowon i9. Fair bit of bass with nice detail and wide sound stage, but maybe too much bass? So you know what I like/have heard; I have HD212pro's and thought they were great until I got a pair of A900's.  Went back to the 212's and thought "what is this muddy crap I am hearing?".  The AD900's were better in every respect except I would have liked a bit more emphasis on the bass.

I tried some MetroFi 170's (same price) as well while I was there and they didn't sound much better than the stock Cowon's. Better, but not $78SG better IMHO... Found some Pure Sound PUR 600's for $109SG and read they are not bad, but can't find much info on them regarding the sound quality.

Does anyone have an opinion on the CKM55's? Was thinking of maybe just ordering some Vsonic R02Pro2 ($99AUD) or Re0's ($139AUD) when I get back to Australia, but heard the Re0's don't have much bass impact and R02Pro2's are similar to Re0's with more bass and slightly better SQ. The CKM55's really are a decent price that works out to $63AUD so not sure what to do!

I found these at Vivo City shopping centre in a shop called DJ something... I have been informed of Jaben Network and am heading there in the next couple days to listen to some Hippo VB's (might have too much treble for my liking) and RE0's (not enough bass?).  Hippo's are hard to get in Australia so best do it while I'm here :).
