Hey, I'll wear my ATH-A700 in public, and they are big too...

 

And +1 on hoping they sound passable, they do look kinda cool...

I just tried them in best buy yesterday. A touch light on bass but other than that they are pretty good. I tried the beats too and the roc nations sound far better IMO. The brown ones look decent IMO.
