Reason for selling these 2 beloved headphone was because I find myself listening to the Ath-w5000 much, much longer than the others, and also that I am thinking of invest on some photography item.
Denon D5000
As for the Denon D5000, I performed an half markl mod, which involved damping the back of the wood cup with Xtreme Dynamat; Xtreme Dynamat on the butt of the driver; Xtreme Dynamat on the edges of the black plastic behind the driver.
Please refer to: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/299627/how-to-build-one-of-the-world-s-finest-dynamic-headphones-markl-denon-ah-d5000-mods
I did not place a Xtreme Dynamat with little holes to the front of the driver, the reason been was I found the bass is at a favorable impact and quality without it.
