Balanced Headphones VS. Balanced Speakers

Thread Starter

I Googled this topic and couldn't find a thing.

I have heard the advantages of balanced headphones and had the scientific reason spouted at me. What is the advantage to using balanced in your speaker/amp setup?

I am a curious mind: the more detailed response the better.

The balanced configuration in a speaker system is between the electronics not between the amp and speakers. Using balanced connection between the electronics you pick up 3 db of gain and also you will have no degradation of the signal in long runs of cables like with Single Ended.

When I switch my sysyems from single ended to balanced I immediately noticed a highe volume output and more dynamics in the sound.
